Volpin

Born on May 9, 1952. Paduan, adman, creative director of the VolpinADV agency, which he owns, after various stints as a cartoonist, illustrator and visualiser, today the world of comics inspires him to express his contemporary painting between hyperrealism and strong connotations to Pop Art. Alberto Volpin’s exuberant language is expressed in the representation of imaginary scenery. Fantastic characters ready to tell their adventures burst out from within the everyday life of imposing Venetian architecture, giving the settings a colossal chromatic magnificence. These figures live in these places, they animate them with their “perspective” presence. Their poses in the paintings create different points of view, they seem intangible and intent on coming out of the work itself with colourful shades of colour. Superman, Batman, Mandrake, The Phantom, Daredevil, Elektra, Hulk, and many others are portrayed life-size, overwhelming us with their presence.
